Colorado Medicaid Work Requirements

  • Health First ColoradoColorado is mailing letters in September 2026 telling members whether the new federal work requirement applies to them. The rule starts January 1, 2027, and renewals move to every six months. People in recovery from a substance use disorder for five years or less may be exempt if it keeps them from 80 hours a month.
